Anger Work
Anger is always FEAR based although most people may struggle with this.
I have worked with this subject for many many years in prison establishments,helping people to safely feel the old feelings,then to learn how to recognise the old feelings and quickly recognise that today they may be unrealistic.
With practice it is possible to change the old negative into a positive and work through that.
There are many ways we un-healthily try to handle our anger
Put it onto someone else.....stuff it within myself.......work to excess and justify the reason for work
inappropriate sexual relations with justification why it is ok..........Alcohol/drug/medication misuse
Excessive/shopping/gambling/eating/smoking...............Fraud and sooooooooooooooooo much more
Fealing the old fear is so important,how old were you,why did you feel so scared etc
When I know the answers,within a safe environment,when the feelings come up today triggered by events /situations in our life,we dont have to bury them,fix them,run from them
JUST STAY WITH THEM,HONOUR THEM,BREATHE THROUGH THEM AND CHANGE THEM INTO A POSITIVE.
This process takes time in a safe environment and Practice
If taking alcohol,substances,medication feelings are suppressed and it is more difficult,but possible to work with.
